A wool trench coat is this year’s hottest fashion in coats. With all of the commercials and ads going on anyone can see that this hot item is making a huge comeback in unprecedented ways. Honestly, I mean ever since this coat made its debut as a war time coat for British soldiers in World War One this has been a hot item. Now more than ever people are making a huge deal about wool trench coats.
Recently I was at Nordstrom and even though I specifically told the sales associate that I was looking for a corduroy jacket she would not stop going on about how good and how practical a wool trench coat would be. At first I was hesitant of this persistent saleswoman, but finally I began to see things from her point of view. I mean honestly, a wool trench coat truly is a great investment. Think of all the practicalities of such a useful coat. Along with being great in the rain or the snow you can easily wear it out for a night on the town. And because of its size you can be comfortable while wearing it over some nicer clothes when you go to the ballet.
So I finally agreed with the saleswoman and decided to go pick out a wool trench coat. At first I was thinking of purchasing a leather trench coat but decided against it because one the prices were EXPENSIVE! And, the material just didn’t look as flattering to me. When I finally came around to the wool coats I was blown away by how well they can reveal and hide almost anything you want to show off, or keep hidden! Not only that but a wool trench coat was within my price range and still left me feeling like a million bucks.
Mine also has an inside pocket to store my wallet or valuables in which makes me feel safer since I live in the city. After I purchased my wool trench coat, I was shocked to see just how many people are starting to catch on to this great trend. With so many choices to pick from and now with so many designers coming out with their own versions of this classic yet chic coat it’ll be hard to not find one that you’ll fall in love with.
Since I live up north, staying warm is a big deal to me, and trust me – if you have a wool trench coat, you’ll never have to worry about the falling snow or that snipping wind. You can know that your body (and since it’s a trench coat it’ll be just about your entire body) will stay warm and cozy inside this amazing coat. Some people have theirs lined with fur to increase the warmth and softness of this amazing coat. All in all everyone is agreeing that this is the big item this winter. To tell the truth, I think this trend will be around for awhile since it looks great, it’s affordable, it’s warm, and most of all it goes with everything!
